With the knowledge that smart academic buildings with great design can help engage the current student body and attract future students, it’s definitely time to start to look into educational infrastructure design and smart campus planning. In schools and universities, smart design should enable teacher-student interaction, peer-to-peer social space, individual study areas, flawless security procedures, energy savings measures and easy student circulation for a growing student body. For the logon designed library, sports hall and research buildings of the Shandong University of Sports, logon transformed the area into four platforms with five functional areas, including three sports areas, one teaching area and one service area. Campus planning included street access focused on student safety, landscaping modeling, an ecological concept to reuse and filter water and a landmark sports hall able to host multiple sports meets in any given time.
