logon win Nanjing TUSPARK Urban Planning competition
Following Suzhou landscape project, logon was commissioned another project in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province named Nanjing TUSPARK high-tech office park. It is located in the Jiangning District of Nanjing, halfway between the new airport and downtown Nanjing. With the site area of 6.9ha, the site is organized into three different building areas: high-rises, economy office space and lakeside office buildings, providing spaces for different kinds of office, lab and research use. The mix of urban and natural settings creates a new place; a unique and attractive environment for work and life. |

logon win competition for Suzhou New District Commercial Plaza Landscape Design
logon successfully entered the Suzhou market by winning international landscape design competition of Suzhou New District Commercial Plaza. The project is located in the center of a new developing district close to downtown Suzhou. The fundamental design concept is the communication between people and function where the design aim is to create a contemporary public urban plaza for the upcoming center for the new district. “It’s a tailor-made design scheme suitable for the site and with future consideration.” commented the Suzhou client. |

logon’s adaptive reuse project iiinshanghai ranked as one of the best creative park in Shanghai
On October 21st 2009, iiinshanghai Creative Park was awarded 2009 best creative industry park in Shanghai on the closing ceremony of Shanghai International Creative Industry Week. Located in Changning District, iiinshanghai is an adaptive reuse project designed by logon in 2007. The former metal & plastic product plant was successfully transformed into a place for innovation and creativity, providing a brand-new experience for work and entertainment. The logon Shanghai office also designed its own office space within iiinshanghai. |

creativegermany @ Shanghai Creative Week successfully concludes
The former Shanghai factory converted creative park 800SHOW located on 800 Changde Road in downtown Jing’An district hosted the 2009 Shanghai International Creative Industry Week (SICIW) from 15-21 October. Organized by logon, the pavilion showcased various design and creative firm exhibitions and hosted events including a dedicated German Day on October 20th. This year’s SICIW saw the highest number of attendance to date. Thousands of people including students, creative professionals, property developers and investors turned attended the German Pavilion; creativegermany at 800SHOW. China’s thirst for creative knowledge was confirmed by full-house lectures by world class firms and professionals including Markus Schneider from Thismedia, Tobias Sievers from Luxoom, a joint lecture by Berlin University of Technology / Tongji University Shanghai students, Pascal Hartmann from logon, Gregor Hoheisel from Graft and Christian Wentzel from Wentzel Hahn. The German Day and evening VIP party gathered over 300 VIP and guests and was presented by Mr. Frank Krueger, Creative Director of logon and Ms. Wang Fang, managing director of logon. |

logon wins second award at SICIW for China’s Most Successful Design 2009 for 800 Show
logon claimed a second award by the end of the Shanghai International Creative Industry Week (SICIW) 2009. The closing ceremony was held October 21st in the 800SHOW iconic main event hall with hundreds of VIPs including government officials and international creative industry leaders. 800SHOW Creative Park won China’s Most Successful Design Award 2009. “logon did a great job, your design will drive the pace of development in Jing’An district”, commented Mr. Dong Xu Ji the Chairman of the Communist party, Jing’An district. |

Government and VIPs attend German Day at the German Pavilion “creativegermany”
The logon team organized the German Day on October 20th. The day-time schedule consisted of a five person panel discussion headed by logon sociologist Pascal Hartmann to discuss The Development of Creative Industries in Shanghai. This event was followed by a lecture led by Gregor Hoheisel of Graft entitled From Product Design to Urban Planning. Speeches were delivered by Dr. Albrecht von der Heyden, Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Shanghai, Mr. Lu Xiaodong, Deputy Mayor of Jing’An District of Shanghai, Prof. Wu Zhiqiang, Chief Planner for the Expo Park, Dean of the College of Architecture and Urban Planning of Shanghai Tongji University and Mr. He Zengqiang, General Secretary of Shanghai Creative Industry Center. Their speeches referred to what they believe creativity is. The creativegermany gala party attracted over 300 guests. |

Shanghai International Creative Industry Week – logon receives 2009 Best Young Designers Award
On October 15th 2009, Frank Krueger the Creative Director of logon received the 2009 Best Young Designers Award at the SICIW on opening night, the firm’s first award for the week. “I accept this award on behalf of the logon international team where without them, winning this award would not be possible”, Krueger explained. “It will sit in our Shanghai office at iiinShanghai Creative Park for all employees to see”. Amongst more and more urban design, public facility and renovation projects, the 800SHOW Creative Park logon architects designed their own office iiinShanghai Creative Park on Dingxi Road. |

logon presents key note speech at Changxing forum
On October 12th in relation to the Shanghai International Creative Industry Week (SICIW), Creative Director of logon Frank Krueger was invited to deliver a key note speech at the Changxing International Investment and Trade Forum. Amongst other VIP speakers including Professor Wu Zhiqiang, Chief Planner for the Expo Park, Dean of the College of Architecture and Urban Planning of Tongji University, Mr. Krueger spoke to an audience of over a thousand people including government and other officials about sustainable architecture and urban planning in China. Changxing is located approximately 170km from Shanghai in the center of the Yangtze Delta, China; on the southwest bank of Taihu Lake, bordering Zhejiang, Jiangsu and Anhui. |

logon won 2nd Prize for 2008 Shanghai Qingpu Urban Design International Competition
Of 600 entries, logon was awarded 2nd prize for it's outstanding design in 2008 Shanghai Qingpu New City West Region International Competition of Conceptual Urban Design. The logon design proposed to transform the area into a self-maintained natural habitat for fauna and flora and natural animal inhabitation. Visitors could escape the city and discover the sustainable green park by the suspended walkway which curves throughout the whole area where as a new harbor with restaurant ships and swimming theater provide new entertainment and leisure facilities.

Qingpu Master Forum
logon participated in the “2009 Qingpu Master Forum” held in Shanghai, March 25. The forum included an opening ceremony which featured shortlisted design work submitted to the Shanghai Qingpu New City West Region International Competition of Conceptual Urban Design. Several world famous architects were invited to give speeches, to share their viewpoints of the forum and make predictions on the developmental trends of the Jiang Nan water towns. The logon creative team took part in this forum and shared their design experience with the other experts present. |

logon won the design competition for 15 cool, Dalian
logon was selected as having the best of 15 designs for the 15 cool Dalian harbor warehouse renovation project. The project, set to transform the former Dalian warehouse built during Japanese occupation in 1929, is currently in design development (DD) phase. The logon design respects the former feel of the building all in optimizing the building's location on the sea. The former warehouse will make room for high-class boutiques, creative and fashion industry events as well as office space, not to forget a delightful roof terrace for entertainment and dining. These events take place in the ornate glass case on the top of the roof, which gives the impression to guests they are flying over the harbor.
